Bhendi Bazaar – South Mumbai’s vibrant but congested area is under the process of development of it into a modern living and work space. Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin TUS had initiated many projects for the development of community and Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project is also one of it. The name - Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project, combines His Holiness’s own name and that of his revered father, Dr. Syedna Taher Saifuddin (RA), in a project that is inspired by the commitment of both Dai’s to the community they have jointly led through the entire sweep of the twentieth century.
This project will transform Bhendi Bazaar into a vibrant modern urban area. It will cover 16.5 acres comprising 3200 homes in 250 existing buildings; 1250 businesses and will impact the lives of 20,000 people.
